●!!हरे कृष्णहरे कृष्ण!!●●Srimad Bhagavad Gita ●Bhagvat Gita is an interesting, inspirational and wisdomful dialogue between Lord Krishna (Satguru) and His beloved disciple (Shishya) Arjuna. The teachings and preachings in holy Gita have become a source of great learning and spiritual upliftment. These teachings are not only relevant for our current life time but all the times yet to come. They are the gist of Vedas and Upanishids. Following its teachings one can not only attain peace of mind which is so essential for all of us but can even attain highest goals of Moksh and Mukti i.e. liberation from Birth and Death.
The holy Gita is a great gift and relevant for the entire human kind all over the world irrespective of caste, creed and political boundaries. Interestingly Gita was revealed right on the Battleground of Mahabharat at Kurushetra when Arjuna was in great dilemma/confusion (Vishad) and wanted to run away from his duty (Karma) as a Shatriya (Warrior) or withdraw from the battle ground due to Moha (attachment) with his own kiths and kins including Gurus, Uncles, Cousins, Elders like Guru Drona, Bhisham Pitama, etc. Lord Krishna termed it as a Battle of Dharma/righteousness/ Sat (Truth) when all other options had failed.
Following the holy Gita we may easily know various aspects of human birth and fight our own battle of life. It answers the various questions haunting us day in day out. One may even get the depthful knowledge of Soul (Who Am I?). How our birth has taken place? What is our duty and relationship to our Mother, Father, Children and other Kiths and Kins?
The holy Gita has revealed our various queries: What is Mind (Man), Buddhi (intellect), Chit (Memory store) and Ahankar (ego)? How to control Mind? What is Indriya Sanyam? What is Asakti (attachment) and how to be Anasakt (detached). What is Nature or Prakarti? Who is God/Purushottam? What are the Three Gunas/attributes (vratis) (Satvik, Rajsik and Tamsik) within and outside us? How they interact with each other and affect our life? What is illusion (Maya). Who is Gunateet? Who is Jeev (Human)? What are 84 lakhs of Yonis? Who is Devta? What is relevance of Dev(Deity) Pooja? Who is Asura (demon)? What is Yaga? What is Yoga and Rajyoga and how to practice it? What is Gyan (Atam Gyan)? What is Duty/Karam Yoga? What is Sharnagati? What is Bhakti? What is Brahm? Where does the God reside? What is Samadhi (merging/being one with God), etc. etc.
Many of us would have read Bhagvat Gita. The question arises what we have learnt from this holy book. How it has changed our own lives?
The main purpose of this Group is to have free and frank interaction about the learnings and how far we have practised GITA in our own life. What bottlenecks were faced and how we overcame them? How we have been able to attain Wisdom and perform better in our life?
How the teachings and preachings of Bhagwat Gita have helped us to become a good human being, a good parent, a good citizen, an honest and truthful person? How we have attained peace of mind? How Gita has helped us to do Japa (chanting God’s name), Bhajans (singing glories of God), Meditation (Dhyan Sadhna), Tapa (Penance) , Yaga, Daan (Donation) and serving the humanity.
May Lord Krishna and holy Gita bless us to share and care for each other and spiritually progress toward our common goal of reaching Him in this very life!!● राम राम हरे हरे!!●
